Yeah my dad told me that today. I suppose it's got pretty good communications, and also parking.

Oh y'know the new part of the cycle link they're doing? The one that goes over the viaduct and will go into Alburne Park? Apparently the path is actually going from Alburne Park to the crossing at the Lomond Centre, and then onto the town centre. I think while they're at it they should make it go over the Preston roundabout bridge and along the Queensway. But they can't do that, because the bridge is unsuitable for bikes! What nonsense. All they need to do is either raise the railings on the bridge, or put a "Cyclists Dismount" sign either side. It's not difficult!

Anyone know of what's going where Powerhouse used to be? There's a big poster on the front saying NEW But nobody knows what it is . Plus they have made the empty units tidy by putting some mdf over them making them look fresh

Just noticed that these new boards saying "something new soon" have been put up on all the old units . Makes the place look tidier mind you . I have also noticed that we are going to be having 3 Clintons card shops in the centre. Birthdays has recently been bought by them. The one adjacent to the curretn store is being converted . The store at the top I think has just been refurbished but will keep the Birthdays name.

I didnt realise DTZ were managing the centre? Thats actually the company I start for in September. Hopefully I can work on projects including the proposed new master plan. I'll maybe get a look in at the tesco design too! Surely they wont have 3 of the same card shops in the centre right next to one another?

there must be a massive market for cards in Glenrothes! maybe the new one will be a specialist card shop with greetings along the lines of "It's your birthday! I know you wanted a PSP, but there are only card shops in Glenrothes now, so here's a card with a fiver in." They must make an absolute shedload of money on each card if they can justify 3 shops up there. Mind you, I think I spent about £4 on a card that had Daniel O'Donnell singing happy birthday for my girlfriend last year, so I'm probably just as much to blame as anyone else. She was surprisingly unexcited by it actually....

have you seen the amount of empty shops up the town? putting up those boards really makes the empty shops stick out a hell of a lot

The centre only has a 5% vacancy rate. Kirkcaldy's is at 11%, and Dunfermlines is like 8%, so there arent as many empty shops as u mite think.
