Right then folks, here's some ideas on making a difference: www.saveourinsti.org.uk I'm sure you'll all love it, it seems to me like a great, brief guide to making a difference in this campaign. Enjoy, use and fight folks!

Hey Mark, can you add the meeting's date to the board's calendar? I'll surely forget to go if I'm not reminded on the day!
EDIT: It's ok I've added it myself. Didn't know I could do that!
Who's needing a lift from Markinch?

This Saturday (the 18th) there is to be a demonstration held outside the Institute at 10am. It is being organised by some local kids so it'd be nice for us to show some support. Thats all the details I have as the story in today's Gazette is a bit thin on the actual protest.
I'll probably head along if I can get up that early on a Saturday! Bring your boards and write "Save our Insty" on them!

So how did saturdays protest go then? Was there any of the media present? Did many people turn up?

Hello! I'm at work just now, and don't have the tools to update the statistics on the front page, but we're now at 293 signatures, with 153 comments. It would be nice to get to 300 so if you know anybody who hasn't signed and is online - now's the time for a final push! At the end of this week I'll send a copy of the petition over to John Martin (Johnytronics!) They'll be added to the thousands of other names collected throughout Fife in various petitions and then presented to Fife Council's legal team. Cheers, Mark.
PS I was considering taking along the petition to the council whilst wearing a pair of speedos, to generate a bit more publicity, but it's a bit chilly out! (and I reckon that there's probably enough publicity already).

No cause is worth the sight of you in speedos.
