Just read the Albany Gate redevelopment plans and the Marchmont Gate plans and they look quite good The old Co-Op dept store is to be demolished and replaced with a 60,000 sq ft 3 level retail structure featuring 20,000 sq ft of lesuire space on the ground level . The Fraser Bowl isn't getting demolished and is being kept , instead they are getting rid of the knick nack shops e.g Red Cross etc . Also the car park next to the buss station at the back of The Golden Acorn is to be converted into a Multi-Storey Car Park . The Marchmont Gate development will see a 60,000 sq ft major departmnet store on 3 floors , with 4 other stores adding an extra total of around 28,000 sq ft . This development will also add a new square merging the multi-storey and extra shops to the existing entrance . The multi storey will also be getting an extra level added to it and hopefully a facelift
