Thats all the Kingdom Centre needs is another bakers/sandwich shop.
Was visiting Glenrothes at the weekend (first proper visit since i moved to Inverness 8 months ago) and decided to have a look through the KC and got a shock at the number of empty units there is at the moment. They need to get Sainsbury's opened as soon as possible (I was expecting the building works to have started by now) which I think in turn will attract other retailers (other than birthday card shops and bakers, even though everyone does enjoy a nice creamy bun).

The Ciswo have advertised that their new venue will be open for summer 09 so hopefully Sainsburys will be ready for about then Also : Bay Trading are opening a store in Glenrothes .

If the Ciswo are saying summer 09 for their new building, then Sainsbury's can't begin building until the ciswo have moved out, so it looks like another year before construction starts on Sainsbury's. Unless they go ahead and start building beforehand and leave the car park til last, as the car park will be going where the ciswo/ymca are now. Going by how long the Dalgety Bay Asda has taken to build, it has been about 1 year, and opens next week, and I think Glenrothes Asda and Sainsbury's are to be bigger, so we are talking at least 1 year for each.

I wonder if the new Tullis Russell shops and the Sainsbury's and Asda will knock the businesses in the Kingdom Centre (especially if they're selling creamy buns )
